The mops are spun at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a selection of attachments and brushes, and a user-friendly application that lets you pick the exact kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.

You could, for instance ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation tech are superb and the robot is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only drawback is that it tends to smash into walls and other objects at a high speed, but just a glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and the obstacles it's run into or avoided.

A handy LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance jobs must be completed like emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank using a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop can operate for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to see every aspect of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's top robot mop and automatic vacuum cleaner and mop. The model of this year features a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This increases the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to pull up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners may be unable to pick up.

As with the other two Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and decide whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It can then change its direction automatically and clean around the objects, without missing a step.

It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek, angular style is attractive and it only has three physical buttons that include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can bring the robot vacuums that mop back to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin auto-refills.

The only issue I have discovered with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. You can replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's a challenge to remove the mount for washing manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which could cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number smart features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these via the Roborock app that is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll need to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering the performance otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with its innovative features, Robots That Vacuum and Mop top suction power and advanced mopping capabilities. Its clever design permits customized and efficient cleaning while reducing time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful options available. Additionally, the X40 is very quiet during its operation, with only occasional bursts of sound when switching modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.

The X40 also comes with a side brush that can be lifted and extended. This allows it to reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean curved furniture such as table and chair legs. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is easy to use and intuitive, and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. It is also possible to alter suction power, change modes, view maps and floor plans, and control mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and inform you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many features that make it a great choice for busy families. 4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. However, it has several characteristics that make it stand out. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and dirty spots.

The mop mops are cleaned and dried at the base station each time they are used. This feature is great because it stops mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen on other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.

There's a wealth of settings on offer which include the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a variety of preferences. The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks elegant and elegant. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list, at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and is sturdy and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mops work well on hard floors as well as in corners. They can even extend up to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
