It is able to change its direction automatically and clean around them without stumbling.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also loaded with features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child-lock and a home button to send the best robot vacuum that mops to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying, and the bin is auto-filling.

The only downside I found in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if needed), it's a pain to take off the mount to wash it manually. I've found that any plush carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, and that can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number intelligent features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these via the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and track battery life. However, you'll have to go through a few hoops in order to allow voice control with this model, which is a shame considering the performance of this model.

3. Dreame X40
