The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option for those looking for an affordable robot shark robotic vacuum cleaner and mop. It's a great mopping performance but lacks some of the features of its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. However, unlike other models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is integrated into the charging base. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automatic schedules that will give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is in place you can begin the automated cleaning with a single button press. You can select a general clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger pieces of debris like rice and cereal. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some others do and can clean up pet hair with ease. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot claims it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into the furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we discovered it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features an advanced filtration system that blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice premise, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price tag.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundary markers to ensure that the robot is aware of which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo is a standout. Its vac settings are as effective as those on more expensive models and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a much better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

It's only downside is the absence of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. But that's not a big deal when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors. Filling it takes just two or three cycles, even when you have maximum dirt.

As for the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has, which are less powerful than high-powered settings, produce little noise, so you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it comes into contact with a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and then moves along.

What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is not right like a low clean water tank or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to a full bin.

You can also combine or create rooms to customize the way that Q Revo treats your home. This feature is helpful for those who have different flooring in different areas of your home, or if you need to regularly get rid of clutter like clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It is able to even clean up spills that are wet but I would suggest drying them using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, and the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also has an auto-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that can better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It has a height of more than two feet the height and depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However the bob robot vacuum and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty it when needed.

Additionally, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and voice assistant that operates offline, allowing you to use it even if you're away from home. It also has an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.

The Omni X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its rotating mop pads that scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that comes with a variety of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It can build detailed floor maps, identify different flooring types and is one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These are nice features but they also make the L10s more of a premium category. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners would need.

It is designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish accented by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner as you move around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically is a switch for on and off. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, while clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The control panel includes a circular menu that allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the settings of the app which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to help you map out your home. The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors, and taking out all but stubborn juice stains. Its mops also perform well, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from our hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
