However, it did struggle with carpets with a longer pile and also large, thick messes of dried-on debris.

Like many robots that are available, the S1 Pro comes ready to roll out of the box and only requires a quick initial mapping run to learn its way around your home. The map will then be displayed in the app and you can join or add rooms as needed. You can set virtual boundaries, as well as no-go zones if there's something you do not want the robot to get into.
