Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of removing dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet messes (spills and stains) in one time without the need to switch out devices. They also can save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

It has plenty to offer for its low cost and is one of the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and a quick-start guide will have you running with a clean, complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can cleans up a mess and also vacuums well. The mops are spun at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments and an intuitive app that lets you choose the exact kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

You could, for instance, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and robot vacuum cleaner living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation tech are also excellent as the robot is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only issue it has is that it can crash into walls and objects at full speed - but a quick glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's avoided.

A convenient LCD screen on the docking station tells the maintenance tasks that need to be done like emptying the debris tray, and washing the water tank that is dirty. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank, using a 600ml bottle of the eufy's solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is simple to use and intuitive and lets you view all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum that vacuums and mops mop and vacuum, is the newest version. In contrast to the model of last year this one has a double agitator in its mopping pad which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power which allows it to pull up finer hairs and other debris other best robotic mop and vacuum cleaners could miss.

As with the other two Roborock models I've tested the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. It can then change its course automatically and clean around them without stumbling.

It's the most expensive model I've tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek, angular design is striking and comes with three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process mop button, which doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin fills up automatically.

The only downside I found in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if it's required) but it's a challenge to take off the mount to wash manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot vacuum that vacuums and mops passes will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can set up and manage these through the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor battery life. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops to enable voice control with this model, which is a shame considering how well it performs otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

It can be controlled through the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is intuitive and easy to use and the X40's intelligent features are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also track its progress and notify you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers numerous convenient features, making it an ideal choice for busy families. The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. However, it has a number of characteristics that make it stand out. The app lets you set these preferences or you can utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and offers a variety of options to customize your cleaning routine. The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen in the market, with a white and metallic design that is elegant and stylish. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list, but it's still not a lot of weight. It is solid and well-built. Mopping is well-designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
