Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet mess in one time, without having to switch devices. They also can save storage space compared to having two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking is easy, and the quick-start guide will have you running in no time. It comes with an entire dust bag, water tank and hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can mops up a storm and also vacuums well. The mops are spun at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app which lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.

You can, for example ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models cannot. Its only minor issue is that it can hit objects and walls at full speed - but a quick glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed, and which obstacles it's run into or avoided.

The docking station features a handy LCD screen that shows the need for maintenance for cleaning up debris and cleaning the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank using a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time and the mop is capable of operating for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. And you can see the complete cleaning details within the app, which is well laid out and is easy to comprehend, though we would like to be able to differentiate between a vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. In contrast to the model of last year, this one features an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that allows it to pull up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners could miss.

As with the other two Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which can help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes two cameras that can recognize objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It then can alter its course in a way that is automatic and clean around the objects, without missing a step.

It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also packed with features. Its sleek, angular style is attractive and it only has three physical buttons: the power button, that also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the best robot cleaner back to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml tank of water. The water tank will empty itself and the bin auto-refilling.

The only drawback I could find with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary) but it's a challenge to take off the mount itself for manual washing. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mount, which can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of smart features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and set up these features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's life. You'll need to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuums with mop vacuum and mop is a market leader with innovative features, superior suction power and cutting-edge mowing abilities. Its clever design permits personalized and efficient cleaning, while also saving time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry messes. It comes with a mop of excellent quality that can clean hard floors without the need for a pad. In addition, the X40 is very quiet during it's operation, producing only occasional bursts of sound when switching between modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.

The X40 has a side brush that can be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture that is curved like table and chair legs. The Robot vacuum with mop is also able to reach under low-profile furnishings which makes it a great option for smaller apartments or condos. The side brush automatically lowers itself when it spots wet spots, which is a nice feature that assists the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by repeated back-andforth movements.

Unlike other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can also be programmed to skip areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors, robot vacuum cleaner and vice versa. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.

The app is user-friendly and user-friendly and the X40's intelligent features are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see floor plans and mapping, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and inform you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous convenient features, making it a perfect choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, and refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It can also detect when the mop pad is overflowing and alert you before it overflows, thus reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot vacuums best that's among the most expensive models available however, it comes with numerous extra features that set it apart. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature of its mops, uses two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and dirty spots.

The mop is cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is a fantastic feature as it stops the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and also makes mop systems more efficient. It's a system that has yet to be seen on other robot hoover and mop vacuum and mop models, and it could be a good method of keeping your home cleaner for longer.

There are plenty of options, including the ability to schedule cleanings and change preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app or there are buttons on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and offers a variety of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also comes with many functions that are not available on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and elegant. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list, at 4kg however it's not overly heavy either, and it feels robust and well built. Mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mops work well on hard floors and in corners. They can also extend to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice feature.
