Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet mess (spills and staining) in one session without the need to switch out devices. They also can save space in comparison to two separate units, especially in smaller living areas.

A good combination bot must have impressive navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has plenty to offer for its relatively affordable price, and it's among the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start guide gets you running in no time with a full dust bag, water tank and a hard floor robots that vacuum and mop solution.

The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that mops up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops spin at fast speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.

You could, for instance, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and its smart navigation technology are excellent too and the robot cleaner with mop is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only problem is that the robot tends to hit walls and objects at a high speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning in the app will reveal precisely what the robot vacuums that mop has done, where it is moving, and what obstacles it has encountered or avoided.

The docking station has a handy LCD screen that indicates the time when maintenance is required like emptying the debris and rinsing the dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank using a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop can operate for 184 mins in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can last 136 mins in standard mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. You can also view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is intuitively laid out and is easy to comprehend, though we would have liked to be able distinguish between a mop only vacuum and a vacuum/mop clean when looking at a clean area in the cleaning history.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's flagship robot vacuum and mop. In contrast to the model of last year it comes with two agitators in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pull up small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners may overlook.

Like the other two Roborock models I've tried it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which helps it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and Robots that vacuum and mop decide whether they're a wall or another type of surface. It is able to change its direction in a way that is automatic and clean around the objects without missing a step.

It's the most expensive model I've tried however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning process, a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself and the bin auto-filling.

The only downside I've found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if needed) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount to wash it manually. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot cleaner with mop passes will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, and could cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number intelligent features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these via the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor battery life. However, you'll have to go through a few hoops to enable voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering how well it performs otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is an industry leader with cutting-edge features, high suction power, and advanced mowing abilities. Its intelligent design allows users to tailor and effectively clean while reducing time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair, crumbs and other dry mess. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet when in operation with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.

Another standout characteristic is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush that allows it to reach difficult-to-access corners as well as clean furniture, such as tables and chairs' legs. The robot can also reach under furniture with low profile which makes it an ideal choice for small apartments or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through repeated back-and-forth movements.

Unlike other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors or vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is simple to use and intuitive and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's done.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features, making it an ideal option for busy families. The docking station will automatically cleans the dustbin and mop pads before refilling them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also detect when the mop pad is filled and notify you when it gets overflowing, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It has a number of features that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to clean floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it comes with an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can vacuum up pet hair and other small dirt particles in addition to removing spills and wet spots.

The mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This is a great feature because it prevents the growth of odours and mould in storage, and also makes mop systems more efficient. It's a system that we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuums and mop models, and it could be a great way of keeping your home clean for longer.

There's an impressive amount of options available, including the ability to schedule cleaning and alter a variety of preferences. These can be set via the app, or via direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and provides a number of options for customizing your cleaning routine. The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks elegant and elegant. It's a little heavier than the other two-in-1 robots on this list, at 4kg however it's not overly heavy either, and it is sturdy and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mops work well on hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
