This is the model you need to choose if you want a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It is smaller than other models which makes it more maneuverable in tight spaces or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in robot vacuums. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery mid-clean.

It's very fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in one go. The suction motor's 8,000pa will quickly pick up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help pull out dirt from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as good. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high speed and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a bit more than other robots. This is useful in narrow corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger debris such as books and toys that have been damaged.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's easy to install and is effective however this is something you'll need to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole reason of mopping.

You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad, except that the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between uses. On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad.
