1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba J7+, [Redirect-302] iRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. It uses AI to recognize objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you a picture of the object it comes across to let you know to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop that we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills quickly and leaves no trace of it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't clean in areas you don't wish to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop with your voice.

The design is also superior to the other models. It has an elegant, top piece that looks like toys rather than an obnoxious and loud robot. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying, which is great to speed up cleaning.

In our tests the j7+ was quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in its place instead of scattering it on the floor. It was able capture small gravel, sand and even a little grit. The majority of robots cannot achieve this feat. And all of this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shed.

While it's not quite as sophisticated as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent choice for those who require both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly.

While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take a long time to download updates, and often it's difficult to tell whether the update actually working until you've seen it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the best automatic vacuum cleaner choice is probably hybrid. These machines are equipped with a water tank, so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. These bots also come with various additional features, including smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They're costly at retail, but they often lower prices on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock produces some of our most loved robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and although it lacks some of the premium features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great choice if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles such as table legs and walls, which makes it a good choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning dust bunnies, which is a problem which many robot vacuums can really be a bit sloppy. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is excellent too, with very little missed corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled by a handful of buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. Through the app, you can start and stop cleaning, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and adjust your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you select the Q5+ it includes a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once in place, emptying the bin is relatively easy. It also comes with a large LCD display which is great to have when you're setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't required for the majority of people, but it can help you easily keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly smart robot in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is one of the best in the industry however it's quite expensive.

It is a relatively small base station that looks stunning and can be hidden when not in use. But the station's biggest selling factor is its ability to automate many tasks and functions that other robots leave up to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot fully charged and clean.

And its vacuuming is impressive and efficient, too. It's one of the only robovacs that I've tried that does a really good job of picking up debris on unfinished floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

But the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs. This means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas of the house. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who need a robot cleaning machine vacuum that does it all.

If you're looking to cut costs or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options on the market. Many of the eufy models cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and offers a similar in-app experience with more features like stairs, a fully-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.

eufy is an Anker company that has a history of producing robot vacuums robot, right here on Yogicentral, with the right balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpeted flooring, and mopping functions at an affordable price. It's easy to setup simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app guides you through the steps needed to connect it to Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to place the dock near an outlet for power and ample space to allow it to move around, however.

The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, which means it is able to be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. The design is less flashy than some of the rival models, sporting sleek black finishes and three buttons that are physical: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.

The primary feature that makes the G30 above the rest is the method it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to create an image of the unmovable items that are in its path. It keeps track of the items it has cleaned and what it is unable to access. It will return to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning where it left off.

The sleek G30 has its flaws however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better built, incurs lower recurring expenses, charges faster and has a similar battery life while offering superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as often and comes with the boundaries that ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't need emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating bulky material such as cereal.
