Unlike some of the other robovacs we've evaluated, the i3+ EVO comes with an automatic emptying bin that dumps debris into an external dirt compartment on the base of its charging when it's full. The i3+ EVO can be kept from overfilling by a Self Cleaning vacuum cleaner-emptying bin. However, it must still be manually emptied at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's internal dust bin holds 2.4L of debris and is more than enough to get it through several cleaning sessions before you need to replace it.

Like the i7 uses state-ofthe-art floor-tracking sensors to produce maps. It can also allow you to navigate through neat rows. However the i3+ EVO only stores one map, [Redirect Only] whereas the i7 has the capacity to store multiple maps. The i7's map is used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones, but not the i3+ EVO.

The i3+ EVO does a better job of picking up surface debris in comparison to other robovacs that we have reviewed, but it is not the most effective in cleaning edges and corners. It's also less gentle on furniture, despite being relatively quiet. It was quite rough on furniture, as it forced chairs away. It also caused collisions with the sides of the bed.

Apple changed its footnote on its website in the beginning of November to reflect the fact that this feature has been delayed until 2025. It also did a great job avoiding obstacles like furniture. It's also able to return to the base station, which is a great benefit in the event it's running out of battery during cleaning.
