The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking for a robot mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It provides a fantastic mopping experience but lacks the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.

In the course of testing, it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet as well as pet hair on hard floors. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to map out your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and incredible cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is built into the base of charging. This robot can recognize your habits of cleaning, and suggest automatic schedules to give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is setup you can begin the automated cleaning with a single button press. You can select an overall clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger particles like cereal and rice. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that your entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot says it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it to be able to hug walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with superior filtration that blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating within your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price cost.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map your interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, such as staircases and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire house in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundaries, so it can recognize areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine vacuuming and mopping the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vac settings are as efficient as those found on more expensive models and its mopping feature is even better. Its spinning pads do a better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only drawback is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to allow for more thorough cleaning, but that's a small price to pay if you are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than its competitors. Filling it up only takes two or three cycles, even when you've got the most dirt.

In terms of the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch television without being distracted. If it comes across the wall or a furniture piece, it gently bumps into it and then moves forward.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is good at alerting you when something is in need of attention, like the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to alter the way that Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or if you need to regularly remove clutter, Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, taking debris from both carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It can also vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend cleaning them off with a cloth before sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you could wish for. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, as well as an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also comes with a sensor that recognizes obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet high and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it charges faster and can complete a cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also comes with a larger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that works even when you're at home. It also comes with additional mopping modes as well as an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your house instead of just following a set route.

The X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its mop pads rotating to scrub away tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo vacuum is a premium model that comes with a variety of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It can make precise floor maps and recognize different flooring types. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are nice to have but they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury which could make it a little more expensive than the average homeowner need.

It is designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish accented by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is adorned with a large bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner when you are moving around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu in the middle of the control panel lets you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will bring up the settings menu in which you can alter how the L10s Ultra works with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. This helps the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for households with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hardwood floors and taking out all but stubborn juice staining. The mops are also efficient, removing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile and carpet tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from our hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
