Bentley Keys Are Bold, Adventuresome and Uncompromising

The Mulsanne W.O. Edition by Mulliner

The Mulliner division will be celebrating Bentley's 100th anniversary next year with the release of a Mulsanne special edition. It pays tribute to the company's founding father, W.O. Bentley and even includes an item from one of his vehicles.

The special model, which can be ordered on either a long-wheelbase or regular-wheelbase Mulsanne or Mulsanne Speed, was inspired by the 1930 8 Litre Bentley that W.O. used as his personal car. The influence of this car can be observed in the cabin. For example the Mulliner illuminated bar cabinet has the display of a piece of the 8 Litre crankshaft on display inside.

Other highlights include a chrome application running back along the side of the car that has an air vent with a photoetched B shape that features W.O. The front grille is modeled on 1930s-inspired Onyx, and there's an additional chrome application around the lower spoilers on the left and right. The front grille also features a unique design, with chrome-colored shells replacing the body-color mesh of Mulsanne. It also features the Flying B Logo.

The key box is made of Bentley wings and is fitted with the lining of black flock. Individual key pouches can be purchased to match or contrast the key box. The commemorative set includes the scale model in 1:18 and a flying "B" paperweight. It also contains a printed booklet featuring never-before seen images of the original 1930s Bentley 8 Litre.

Around 400,000 stitches are Bentley's signature diamond-indiamond quilting throughout the entire cabin, and immersive lighting settings can be adjusted to suit a range of different moods.

Outside illuminated treadplates as well as clocks made of brushed silver are offered as standard, while new 22in wheels feature self-levelling Bentley logos. Bentley's Speed series is an eye-opener taking the Continental GT's already excessive excess and turning it up to eleven. It's not only about the glitzy exterior or the additional hors-d'oeuvres.
