In our test of how well it cleaned baking soda from corners and on baseboards, the Scout RX3 was impressive. Its suction of 2,500 Pa was less powerful than some other robots, however, it moved swiftly and was extremely quiet. It didn't mop however, and its removable cleaning pads were a bit difficult to attach and couldn't cope with dirt that had dried on.

Its app lacks advanced features such as multiple cleaning modes or automated scheduling. It supports Alexa but its voice controls don't seem to be very intuitive or responsive. Another issue we faced was with its intelligent features, particularly the mapping function and the digital keep-out zones. While it did a great job of avoiding our furniture legs and shoes but it could easily be caught by socks and cables, and was unable to handle the tassels on rug. We didn't include the Scout RX3 on our Best Buy list. The Scout RX3 offers a good price and impressive performance. It's worth considering as an alternative to uprights that are traditionally used.
