Although Anker-owned Eufy has earned an impact in low-cost robot vacuums it's never offered an all-in-one model which can also mop. The X8 Hybrid is a new model that offers a range of modern features and can compete with much more expensive models.

Laser navigation is the main selling point of this machine. The X8 uses a laser mapping system that is more precise than previous Eufy devices. It also takes a lot less time to build up an accurate map of your home and can store multiple maps, which is ideal for multi-floor homes.

The X8 is still a good vacuum on floors with no dust, slinging debris under its side brushes and into its 400ml dust bin with ease. The X8's tyres, despite their circular shape, are very adept at grabbing edges and corners. It's not a fantastic cat litter picker, though, with our tests showing it only removes about 90 percent of the fur off hard floors.

The basic mopping mode utilizes the same reservoir of water as the vacuuming mode. While this is a good option for spills that aren't too big, you can't regulate the amount of water it consumes and this will reduce its effectiveness on more severe stains. It does, however, do an excellent job of removing pet hair, and has a higher pickup rate than the Roborock S7.

3. Miele RX2

Miele's RX2 robotic vacuum is renowned for its quiet, powerful appliances. It features a stunning design, superb navigation and a powerful cleaning power. If you're looking to buy a basic robotic vacuum that is simple and has no frills for a reasonable price, the Eufy 11S might be your best bet.
