Diablo 4 Item Upgrades

The upgrade to an item allows players to increase the level of equipped items like weapons, armor and trinkets above a certain threshold. You can upgrade items at any NPC that accepts the appropriate currency.

Upgrade components are slotted into equipment to give bonus effects and attribute bonuses. Most of these upgrades are slot-restricted, but a few are universal.

Rerolling

A player can roll an item upgrade in Diablo 4. This is done by using the Level Up feature, which stops your game and shows four randomly-chosen upgrades.
