The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that's priced in the middle. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

During testing, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. However, unlike other models, it doesn't use LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the top-rated robots. It is loaded with features and incredible cleaning power, including the dirt compartment integrated into the charging base. This robot can recognize your habits for cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to provide you with the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the click of the button. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on the removal of larger pieces of debris like rice and cereal. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that your home is cleaned thoroughly.

This vacuum works well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It can remove pet hair and sucks large items up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with plush or high-pile carpets, but iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the hockey puck-like design of robovacs, but we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has a superior filtration system which blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price cost.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map your interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles like stairs and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire house efficiently possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundaries, so it knows to avoid areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on higher-end models. The mopping system is even better as its spinning pads scrub floors more effectively than the vibrating pads.

What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app will only notify you if something is wrong, such as a low clean water tank or a canceled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.

You can also create or merge rooms to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is beneficial if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or when you have to frequently get rid of clutter like toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum was also among the top performers in my test and was able to remove debris from carpets and hardwood floors on the first go. It can also vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, plus a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them clean and ready for use again. It also has a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet high and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the shark robot vacuum and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and can clean up 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a larger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The vacuuming capabilities are also excellent, and it increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It has a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping feature of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium robot vacuum and mop that comes with a host of convenience features you do not often find on robots of this price. It has the ability to create precise floor maps, recognize different types of flooring and is one of the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. Although these features are nice to have, they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category and could mean it's a little more expensive than some homeowners need.

The front of the machine features a large bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically is a switch for on and off. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The control panel is the circular menu which allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will open the settings menu of the app where you can modify how the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.

It was not as effective in removing sand from the hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
