The i3+ EVO and its sibling, the i3 EVO are the same robots that differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying features. The i3+ is an excellent option for those who want an entirely automated, hands-free cleaning experience but are willing to manually empty the robot's dustbin once it gets full.

Both robots excel at picking up surface debris off carpets and hard floors, and they're excellent in maneuvering around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates intelligent maps of your home that aid the i3+ EVO navigate and clean in a way that maximizes efficiency. The i3+ does not have the same obstacle avoidance capabilities as the i7+ or other top-rated robots we test. It could get stuck on power cords and socks and have difficulty navigating between surfaces, such as hardwood and rug.

iRobot recommends you clear out areas that the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, including putting away any clutter or toys it may come across. It is also recommended to keep the dustbin and filter clean to prevent them from becoming clogged. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or the battery is low it goes back to its docking station and automatically empties its trash into the station's dust bin, and then continues cleaning where it began. 2. IRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the top model of the flagship line from iRobot and has the most up-to-date features. It's self-charging, self-navigating and the most important feature of all -- it has a self-emptying dustbin that eliminates one of the main sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.

The Roomba I7+ can map rooms more efficiently with Imprint smart robot Mapping. It also integrates with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and you can direct your robot using the app or voice.

The i7+ is quicker and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from all surfaces including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy the dust bin is self-emptying which eliminates a major source of maintenance and cuts down on recurring costs.

We were also impressed with the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot to begin or stop cleaning sessions, as well as to move around the room, and to vacuum a particular area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and straightforward through the iRobot Home app. After being connected, to give voice commands to the i7+, like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom."
