WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item level Upgrade by +3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.

Upgraded gear generally sees higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or Item Level Upgrade weapon. However, the item that is used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

Crests

Players have a number of choices when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are a crucial component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1.
