The i3+ isn't able to feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or other top-rated robots we have test. It could get stuck on power cords or socks and have trouble moving between surfaces, such as hardwood and rug.

iRobot suggests that you clear areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, and include clearing out any clutter or toys it might encounter. It's also a good idea to keep the dustbin and filter clean so they do not become blocked by dirt. When the i3+'s internal bin is full or the battery is depleted it will return to its docking station and automatically emptying its trash into the station's dust bin, and then continues cleaning the area where it began. The battery's lifespan is around an hour and a half of continuous use. It takes about three hours to fully charge.

We were also amazed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning routines and to move around the room and sweep the area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. After connecting, we were able to communicate with the i7+ using voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and evaluating performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is an all-sports car in a world of vacuums with cords that feel like minivans and buses. It is powerful enough to replace a traditional stand-up vacuum in most homes, yet it is also small enough to fit on a coffee table or bookcase.

The V10 is powered by seven cells of energy-dense Lithium-ion batteries that can provide energy that lasts for 60 minutes. This is an average and not a remarkable time for the battery-powered cordless vacuum. It's enough time to clean the average-sized home but not enough to get into every corner. (A second pass generally works). This model has its own advantages however: it's light and more mobile than previous Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is noticeably superior for carpet floors with low pile.

4. iRobot Roomba 694

One of iRobot's most adored robot vacuums The 694 is a basic model that's an excellent choice for people who don't want to spend too much money on a robot. It was able to remove the majority of types of debris in our tests, and frequently went over the same area several times for a thorough clean. Its flat front end helps it reach into corners and along the edges of walls and walls, which is a nice touch.
