The Q Revo is a good option for those looking for a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It's got a fantastic mopping performance but lacks some of the advanced features that are found in its more expensive sibling.

It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot promises it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. For the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to remove the tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create low noise, which means you can work or watch television without getting distracted. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or furniture piece it gently bumps into it and then moves forward.

What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The app is good at alerting you when something requires attention, like the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create or combine actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo treats your home. This is a great feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's a lot of items that need to be cleared out frequently, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can even remove wet spills but I would suggest cleaning them off with a cloth before sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

It can build precise floor maps, recognize different flooring types and is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. While these features are useful but they also make the L10s Ultra more in the luxury category and could mean it's somewhat more expensive than the average homeowner require.

Designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish that's highlighted by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture when you are moving around your home. In the pane in the front is a second navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
