What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

Some of these boosts are beneficial in certain builds (such Whistan's shield, for FB sorcs) while others can bring significant value to certain collectors.

Certain items come with inherent boos that are less useful when upgraded, such as the Goldwrap which gives more slots for potion. These are often upgraded to add value to a near-perfect or perfect Best item upgrade.

Costs

There are a few costs that are associated with upgrades to items. The most significant cost is the upgrade itself. This cost can be expensive and is contingent on the new level of the item as well as the number of perks it receives. It is also costly to upgrade an item to a better tier (such as Explorer > Champion, or Veteran > Heroic).
