WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.

Upgraded gear generally sees more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as useful for the latter because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapons. However, the item upgrading used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each several weeks.

The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current level of the item being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased from NPCs of item upgraders in a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any weapon, tool or armor. button, which will show an item's preview at the next upgrade items level when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the item upgrading slot and the current item level and the weapon's price is higher than gloves or bracers for example. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of Flightstones or crests that are used. Once an item is upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

Utilizing these new currencies isn't too complicated, but the system introduces some changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to get their equipment to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another notable change is that crests only have one use and it's crucial to use them properly. It is Best item upgrader to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the best gear you can find, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount on the account is only applicable when all slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
