The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic option if you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that's priced in the middle. It's got a fantastic mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the features found in its more expensive counterpart.

In the course of testing, it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as other models do to locate your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, such as the dirt compartment integrated into the charging base. This robot vacuum for stairs can learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automated schedules to give you an effortless cleaning experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is set up you can begin the cleaning automatically with just one button. You can choose a general clean which focuses on the elimination of larger particles like rice and cereal. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It is able to take large objects and does not lose suction as fast as other models do and can clean up pet hair without much difficulty. It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot claims it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that is focused on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to hug furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the traditional hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that blocks tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating throughout your home. We like the statement, but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to remember the structure of your home, and vSLAM for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vac settings are as efficient as those found on higher-end models, and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a better job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only issue is the lack of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a big deal when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also larger than many of its rivals, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has, which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create low noise, which means you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it comes into contact with a wall or furniture piece it gently smacks into it and then moves forward.

What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash into the hidden bin and washes and dry mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is adept at alerting you when something is in need of attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to alter the way that Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature to have if you have several areas of your home with different floor materials or if there's some items that need to be cleaned out frequently, like toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum was also among the best performers in my test cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first pass. It is able to even clean up spills that are wet however I would recommend wiping them dry with a cloth before sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that has all the features you could need. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean carpet and hard floors, as well as a rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans the mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that can better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture or other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet tall and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the robot itself and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it charges faster and can complete a cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that works even if you are not at home. It also comes with more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your house instead of simply following a predetermined route.

The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its rotating mop pads that remove tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent as well and it enhances suction when it detects carpets to ensure that it does a thorough job. It also has a massive battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as efficient as the ones we've seen on a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of features that you don't often see on robots of this price range. It can build precise floor maps, recognize different types of flooring and is one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry its mop pads. While these features are nice to have, they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category which could make it a little more expensive than some homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's tall and slim, with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner as you move around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, lefant Robot vacuum which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's a single button that essentially is a switch for on and off. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu at the middle of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options as well as schedules and Lefant robot Vacuum preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to help you map out your home. This allows the robot to clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the Lefant robot vacuum vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris from our hard-floor test and taking out all but the most difficult juice stains. The mops also work well in removing 98.4 percent of debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. It was not as effective at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
