These upgrades can be used to boost the overall strength of a group or a single unit, and may have a significant impact on the gameplay.

Items can be upgraded at any NPC that is an upgrader in the game. These NPCs can be found in major questing areas or capital cities. You can also find item upgrader mod-upgraders in dungeons that feature high-level bosses, and speaking to NPCs at the garrisons of your faction.

The item upgrade system in World of Warcraft provides players with the possibility of upgrading the level of weapons, armor, and trinkets. This procedure is similar to the reforging of gear in Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor. However instead of using currency, players have to visit an upgrader for their item to complete the process.
