iRobot Vacuum and Mop Review

Contrary to other robot vacuums, this one isn't afraid to go on the stairs. However, just like any mop and vacuum it is prone to getting blocked by debris, such as loose tennis shoes, ribbons and yarn, play jewelry or other objects that are loose.

The iRobot Home App allows you to label rooms, and create no-go zones. You can also monitor the performance of your mops as well as their battery status.

iRobot Combo j7+

The Combo J7+ is part of the mop and robot vacuum lineup, combining the robotic cleaner's smart mapping capabilities and its ability to tackle spills. It is equipped with the same acoustic sensor that is onboard and iAdapt 2.0 Navigation that is used in other Roomba models and maps your home seven times faster than previous versions. It is compatible with voice commands like Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri, and understands approximately 600 voice commands. This is more than any other 2-in-1 robot.

iRobot Combo j5

The robot mop and vacuum from iRobot is ideal for homes with hard floors or carpets. It utilizes intelligent mapping to eliminate obstacles and efficiently clean. The dock can refill the mopping fluid in a timely manner. This model is more costly than the earlier Roomba Combo J7+ but offers more features.

iRobot Combo i3

The iRobot Combo i3 has been upgraded from the original Roomba i3. It has the same great dirt compartment on the outside and an HEPA filter to trap allergens However, it now supports smart mapping. You can now create no-go areas to prevent the vacuum from cleaning these areas again. The i3 Plus still has a number of other great features, including its advanced cleaning system with 10x power-lifting suction and a three-stage cleaning process. It comes with a textured finish to keep pet hair, dust and fingerprints from getting on.

It performs well on bare floors and is able to clean most debris, but it struggled with pet hair on low-pile carpets. It is quieter and does an excellent job on carpets with high pile. The i3 is a little more expensive than the Roborock S4 Max but it comes with a self-emptying station which emptys the dirtbag, refills its water reservoir, and cleans its mop pads.

With the i3 app, you can set up schedules for cleaning at a specific time to suit your requirements. You can also make use of your voice assistant to control your robot and begin or stop the cleaning. It does however have a powerful cleaning system and a pair of rubber brushes that aren't caught in pet hair. It's also a good option for homes with carpets that are high-pile because it can handle the additional dirt and debris better than less powerful vacuums. The i4 is also less invasive in terms of maintenance requirements, and has lower recurring costs and also has a longer time of operation in its most powerful suction mode than the i7.
