The T10's smart features are more than enough to make up for the absence of a remote. With the application, you can easily start and stop a cleaning process. You can also schedule it and change device settings.

4. Shark ION XL

I tried the ION XL with our standard test for debris in a family space and kitchen with hardwood floors and area rug. It did an excellent job vacuuming, clearing pet hair and debris from the floors, and also took care of some of the most stubborn dust particles on carpets. It was also adept at moving and didn't hit my bar stools as did the iRobot j7+ in this test. The only downside is that the ION XL can't detect toys, cords or shoes in its path, which means you'll have prepare your home for cleaning prior to running this robot vacuum to avoid these items.

The ION XL is not as efficient as the iRobot j7+, but it's a good alternative if you don't want to spend more than $500 on an automated cleaner. It's better than the eufy RoboVac 11S in most ways and is easier to maintain and incurring lower recurring expenses. It also does a better job in vacuuming floors that aren't clean and picking up pet hair, but it can't perform as well on low- or high-pile carpet.

It's not as sturdy as the Roborock S8, but it is a great alternative. The ION XL is a powerful machine that has a large capacity bin. It is operated by an app or a voice command, and is simple to maintain. It also comes at a reasonable price.
