The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

A robot vacuum/mop set-up is the ideal option for pets that shed fur. This machine can vacuum and mop and can even dry and clean its own mop pads.

It also has 8,000Pa suction, the highest of any robot we've examined. It can also save maps of your home and create cleaning schedules through its app.

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the most recent in the Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This wet-dry model is equipped with Ecovacs' upgraded AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system, which offers improved mapping and obstacles avoidance. The system uses dual laser LiDAR, which is similar to the one used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan an area up to 32 feet by 360 degrees. That translates into more precise mapping, faster response times, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with an alternating mopping mat made of chenille. This makes it easier to scrub hard-to-clean spots than traditional mop. In my testing the X2 Omni took just over a minute to wash its pad before getting to work, and I noticed that it was much more accurate than other models that seemed to follow a grid route around rooms. It was able navigate corners and edges of my rooms and also create "Zambani patterns" both in and out of the middle of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station frequently to empty the dust bin and clean the mop using hot water prior robot vacuum mops to starting another task of cleaning.

Like other Ecovacs products The X2 Omni is easy to set up and start using. It takes just a few minutes to snap the dock into position, plug it in, and pair with your home Wi-Fi network. Then, you can launch the app to begin your first cleaning task. I was able customize my floor plan in less than 15 minutes. This included creating restricted areas for mopping and sweeping and rearranging the layout of wall-mounted furniture, and more. The X2 Omni was astonished in my tests, achieving excellent scores in cleaning pet hair and debris cleaning and close to perfect results in cleaning crevices and edges.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

The ECOVACS T10 Omni is an extremely powerful vacuum and mopping machine. It is the most advanced of the T-line offered by the company and features the OZMO Turbo2.0 mopping system, which utilizes a dual-spinning brush for superior cleaning than the traditional scrubbers. It also comes with YIKO built-in, a first-of-its-kind natural language processing tech that can respond to a variety of voice commands. The ECOVACS App allows you to plan your home, make cleaning schedules and adjust settings.

The main drawback of the T10 Omni is that it's unable to switch between mopping and vacuuming in a single run. The two modes require that you attach and take off the mop heads according to the need, which is fine for most homes but not an ideal choice for those with busy lifestyles.

The Deebot T10 Omni is a superb robot vacuum that has impressive results in our pet hair tests. It was able to remove more than 96% of the debris from our hardwood flooring. This is a fantastic performance. It also did a fantastic job on tile and carpet, removing over 90% of dirt and other debris.

This robot vacuum and mop has an enormous docking station that provides cool water cleaning for its mop pads, and auto-emptying into a 3L disposable bag that is easy to replace, and hot air drying for quick and simple maintenance. It also has a large water tank that allows more frequent rinses and dries between mopping runs.

Like many other mopping robots such as the Deebot T10, this one features a wash tray in its base that rinses and dries its mop pads as it uses them. It does not have a removable tray so dirt, dust and other grime will gradually build up in the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 Hybrid

This is the first model of mopping from Anker that is renowned for its robot vacuums. It comes with enhanced smarts, multiple map support, and LIDAR scanning, as well as twin-turbine suction technology that adapts to the surface you're cleaning. It's a mid-range robot cleaner that's appealing, even if its claim of being a one-stop shop for floor cleaning does not make sense.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be a standard robotic cleaner from the top. It is a circular design with the sweeping wheels, as well as an elevated sensor area. On the opposite side, you'll see a motorised floorbrush and a single side brush that pushes dust away from the edges and into the main path of its'mouth.' The X8 Hybrid is controlled via an app, robot vacuum mops but it also has physical buttons on its base. These buttons allow you to select the cleaning mode, or turn the robot on/off. You can also use these to set no-go zones as well as view real-time maps. It's a bit chatty as well, and will let you know what it's planning to do next ("start cleaning") or alert you that something's not right (it isn't able to charge, for instance).

4. ILIFE A4s

This model of high-tech vacuum can pick up pet hair, kibble and other particles with impressive effectiveness. It also moves effortlessly around furniture legs. It has a feature set that is impressive, such as two cleaning modes, an automatic docking station, and real-time obstacles avoidance technology. The Wi-Fi enabled device is controlled best through the Neato App which schedules cleanings and maintenance requirements are tracked. The X2 Omni is an excellent choice for large homes with a mix of hard carpet and floors, but it requires some advanced planning to avoid getting stuck by power cords, toys or other unexpected obstacles.

The robot performed well during our tests on hardwood floors and kibble. It ate everything from a single rice grain to several dog food pieces, with just one pass. It had a bit of difficulty transitioning to carpets, however, this vacuum cleaner is great for rooms that have different flooring types and a variety of pets.

The A4s Pro is expensive but it's an excellent purchase for those who want to be able to leave the house without hands so that they can get out and do other things or do chores. The A4s Pro also offers a convenient auto cleaning mode that automatically boosts suction power to tackle difficult spills and dirt, and is equipped with batteries that power the ElectroWall that allows you to set boundaries that the robot isn't permitted to be allowed to enter.

This budget-friendly choice from a well-known upstart brand is the cheapest robot we've tested yet and offers an outstanding value for money. The basic navigation system is based on a basic random pathing algorithm, and it's not able to map rooms. This renders it less efficient than the other models on this list. However, it's still able to reach under furniture and in corners and its mopping feature performed well during our tests and was able to pick up pet hair and other debris effortlessly.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not appear as well-built, but it is better in cleaning pet hair off all surfaces. It does a better job of cleaning carpets with low piles and floor surfaces that are bare. It also uses the smart-pathing software for better mobility. It also lets you send it to a specific room, and its sophisticated suite of automation features includes no-go zones as well as scheduling. It even lets you to pause and resume a cleaning session and is perfect for households with pets.

The self-cleaning brushroll eliminates tangles and can hold up to 30 day's worth of dirt. It also has a set of angled side brushes that dig deep into corners, and its multi-stage filter system is able to capture dust, dander, and allergens for a cleaner air.

The robot vacuum for pet hair vacuum is built well and feels solid. It is compatible with an app on your smartphone that allows you to change the settings of your vacuum and schedule cleaning sessions ahead of time. The app allows you to view the remaining battery life of the iQ and receive push notifications when it encounters any issues during a cleaning session. You can also control it using your voice via an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don't have either of these devices, you can mark areas with physical boundary markers strips.

The iQ is good at cleaning bare floors, and does a decent job on carpets with low pile and shaggy edges. However it's not able to provide the same level of autonomy as our top choices. It is also expensive and the cost of recurring use can increase.
