1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the most recent in the Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This wet-dry model is equipped with the company's upgraded AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system that offers better mapping and obstacle avoidance. The system is dual-laser LiDAR which is similar to what you'll find in self-driving vehicles -- and can scan an area of up to 32 feet by 270 degrees. This means more precise mapping and faster response times and greater cleaning accuracy.

It also features a rotating mopping pad constructed of chenille fabric, which makes it easier to scrub tough areas as opposed to traditional mop. During my testing, the X2 Omni took just over one minute to wash its pad and get to work, and I noticed that it was much more accurate than previous models that seemed to follow a grid path around rooms. It was able navigate corners and edges of my rooms as well as make "Zambani patterns" up and down the middle of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station regularly to empty the trash bin and clean the mop using hot water prior to beginning another clean-up job.

The X2 Omni is as easy to use and set up as the other Ecovacs products. Place the dock in its place then plug it in and connect it to your WiFi network at home. It only takes about a minute. You can then open the app to begin your first cleaning task. I was able to customize my floor plan in about 15 minutes. This included creating limited areas for mopping and sweeping and rearranging the layout of furniture that is mounted on walls and more. The X2 Omni did a great job during my tests, scoring excellent scores for the removal of pet hair and debris cleaning, as well as near-perfect results for crevice and edge cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

If you're looking for a strong combination of vacuuming and mopping look into the EcoVACS Deebot Omni. It is the most sophisticated of the T-line offered by the company and comes with the OZMO Turbo2.0 mopping system, which utilizes a dual-spinning brush for superior cleaning than the traditional scrubbers. It also has YIKO, an artificial language processing technology that is the first of its kind. This allows it to respond to a variety of voice commands. However, the Deebot T10 Omni is a fantastic robot vacuum that has impressive results in our tests for pet hair. It was able to vacuum up more than 96% of the particles we tossed at it our hardwood flooring and floors, which is a remarkable performance. It did an excellent job on carpets and tiles cleaning up 99% of dirt.

This robot vacuum and mops has a large docking system that lets you clean the mop pads automatically using cool water for the mop pads. It also comes with an auto-emptying 3L bag which is easy to replace, and hot air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It also comes with a large tank of water that allows it to be rinsed and dried more often between mopping sessions.

As with other mopping robots such as the Deebot T10, this one has a wash tray in its base that rinses and dries its mop pads as it uses them. It does not have a removable tray, so dirt, dust and other grime will slowly build up in the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 hybrid

This is the first mopping model from Anker that is renowned for its robot vacuums. It offers improved smarts, multiple map support, and LIDAR scanning, along with twin-turbine suction technology that adjusts to the floor you're cleaning. It's a tempting mid-range robot vacuum cleaner, even if it doesn't meet its promise to be the ultimate source for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be a standard robotic cleaner from the top. It has a circular form, sweeping wheels, and a raised sensor area. Flip it over, however you'll see an electric floor brush and a single side sweeper that pushes dirt from the edges into the main path of the robot's 'mouth'. It's a bit smaller than the main brushes of the iRobot Roomba S9 which I found made it easier to reach under chairs and couches.

Its mapping system allows you to define no-mop areas as well as specific cleaning zones. It has a tendency of hitting things like its charging station, and isn't great at navigating over carpets. It did a great job of picking up pet hair on floors that were not paved However, in our tests, it was able to pick up 89.5 percent of litter, which puts it ahead of all but the most powerful robots we've examined.

Although it can be controlled via the app it's also controllable via the app. X8 Hybrid also comes with a series of physical buttons on its base, which allow you to select a cleaning mode and turn the robot on/off. These buttons can be used to establish areas that aren't allowed to enter and look up maps in real-time. It's a bit chatty as well, and will inform you of what it's going to do next ("start cleaning") or even warn you that something is wrong (it isn't able to charge, for example).

This model of high-tech vacuum is able to pick up pet hair, kibble and other particles with impressive efficiency. It also maneuvers perfectly around furniture legs. It comes with a set of features that is impressive, robot vacuum mops including two cleaning modes as well as an automatic docking station and real-time obstacles avoidance technology. It's Wi-Fi-connected and best controlled through the Neato app, where cleanings can be scheduled and the overall maintenance needs monitored. The X2 Omni is a great option for homes that have a mixture of hard and carpet flooring. However it will require some planning ahead to avoid getting caught on electrical cables, toys or other obstacles that might be unexpected.

In our tests of hardwood floors and kibble the robot performed very well and was able to pick up everything from one grain of rice up to many pieces of dog food in just one pass. It did have some issues with rugs, but generally, this vacuum cleaner is great for large rooms that have different flooring types and a mix of pets.

It's a bit expensive, but if you can afford it, it's a great purchase for those who want to be able to leave their homes hands-free to go about other tasks or take care of chores. The A4s Pro also offers a handy auto cleaning mode that automatically boosts suction power to tackle tough spills and dirt and includes an electric ElectroWall which allows you to define boundaries where the robot isn't permitted to access.

This budget-friendly robot from a renowned new brand is the cheapest we've ever tested and offers an outstanding value for the money. Its basic navigation system uses a super-basic random pathing algorithm that isn't equipped with room mapping capabilities, making it less time efficient than the other models on this list. However it's still able to navigate under furniture and into corners and robot vacuum mops its mopping feature worked very well in our testing and was able to pick up pet hair and other debris with ease.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not be as sturdy as the Roomba S9, but it does better overall at getting rid of pet hair from all surfaces. It gets rid of floors with less thoroughly and does a good job on low-pile carpet, and it uses smart-pathing navigational technology for superior maneuverability. It also lets you transfer it to a particular room, and its advanced suite of automation features include no-go zones as well as scheduling. It can even stop and restart cleaning sessions, so it's perfect for homes with pets.

The self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent knots from pet hair and other debris, and its bagless self-emptying dock station can hold up to 30 days worth of dirt before it needs to be emptied. It also has an array of side brushes that are angled to dig deep into corners, and its multi-stage filter system is able to capture dust, dander, and allergens for a cleaner air.

This robot vacuum is well-built and feels solid. It works with a smartphone application that lets you change the vacuum settings and schedule cleaning sessions ahead of time. You can utilize your voice to control the device using an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device If you don't have either of those, you can mark off areas with physical boundary strips.

The iQ does a decent job of clearing bare floors and doing a fair job on shaggy and low-pile carpet however it lacks the same level of autonomy as our top choices. It is also expensive and its recurring cost can add up.
