BMW Ghost Immobiliser

The Ghost utilizes the data bus CAN to communicate with your vehicle. This prevents thieves from replacing the ECU or putting in new locks to bypass the security system.

In contrast to other immobilisers, the Ghost doesn't use LED indications or key fobs. Instead it uses the buttons in your vehicle to allow you to select a unique disarm sequence that you only are aware of.

Stop & Start

If you've previously driven a brand new BMW or used the stop-start feature then you may have noticed that when you stop the engine the engine continues to be running for approximately 30 seconds after you release the brake pedal. The BMW engine management system continues to check the vehicle for a signal emanating from the ignition key. If it detects this the vehicle will continue to operate. Our BMW ghost immobiliser, a new generation device, does not require you to cut OEM wires or install key fobs or alarms from the aftermarket. It is hooked up to your BMW's CAN network and is programmed with a secure, unique PIN code that is accessible via buttons that are installed in your car stolen with ghost immobiliser. Service Mode / Valet Mode

The Ghost is a market leading immobiliser designed to prevent your vehicle from being stolen by key cloning or hacking. If you are parked at home or in the event of a meet and greet the Ghost can be switched into service mode which allows you to start the car with your keys in the normal way, however it stops the engine from being started until the proper code is entered. This is ideal for customers who have to hand their vehicles over to valet companies or other trusted friends and family members. This allows you to bring your vehicle to the garage for repairs or repairs, or other maintenance. without worrying about it being altered by a mechanic while you are waiting.

Once the service / valet mode is activated it will block your BMW from being driven when it is first started. This stops anyone from test driving while you are away. After you return, the car will return to normal operation and will not be tampered or stolen again.

Ghost created this discrete device that is obtrusive, and unobtrusive to fight the ever-increasing sophistication of high-tech thieves. It is designed to stop thieves from using keys or replacing the ECU to start your vehicle and drive it off. Ghost connects to your CAN network, and uses buttons on your vehicle to create an unique push-sequence which must be entered before the engine can be started.

This will activate the anti-hijack function and, once it is activated, any attempt to start the engine will be stopped. The system will sharpen the horn flashing the indicators, and stop the vehicle if the code is not found. By entering your push sequence, or entering service mode, you can deactivate the Anti-Hijack function. This allows your vehicle to temporarily start without entering PIN.

If you have an GPS device that is connected to your BMW it is possible to make use of it to disable the Anti-Hijack function to allow you to navigate using your navigation system even when the vehicle is parked.
