Saab Key Programming

Saab cars built from 1994 have an immobilizer system that is based on key codes. A new transponder is required for the addition of an additional key, and special programming. This is usually done at the dealer using a special Tech2 diagnostic tool.

Transponder key

The transponder key is a key with an electronic chip that transmits a signal to the car when it is inserted into ignition. The car will then check the signal to determine whether it is identical to that of the key. If the signals are the same it will open itself and start. This is a great method to guard your car against theft.

Jump-starting the battery

Start the working vehicle and allow it to run for around two minutes before you connect the cables to the one that is disabled. Replacement case
