When the iRobot Combo j7+ realizes that it's on a surface that requires to be cleaned using water, a tiny robot arm lifts up and swings a tiny mopping pad beneath it. It's a highly intuitive system, and it worked great during my testing. However, I noticed that it was not able to completely wipe away liquids that are water-based, such as juice or wine. The mopping pad is easily washed and reused.

The iRobot Combo's front camera is also quite useful. It can detect dangers like power cables and pet waste, and will steer clear of them to ensure a thorough cleaning. This feature works better than the cameras on other robot vacuums, which tend to get caught up in things like rug tassels. The iRobot Combo ju7+ front camera has blind spots that may cause it to miss certain objects.

The iRobot Combo ju7+ may be expensive, but its performance is sufficient to justify the cost. It's received a good rating from customers who appreciate its smart features. It's worth considering alternatives, like the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni. It's less expensive than the iRobot Combo h7+, and it responds to voice commands without needing for third-party integration. The Scout RX3 Home Vision robot vacuum and mop is a complete robot vacuum with all the features you'd expect of the top brands. You can remotely monitor your home through its camera and even watch it operate through the app (though the app itself does not offer the high-resolution image quality you can get from the camera).

The mops do an excellent job of cleaning tiles, wood, and rugs, and picking up dirt, dust and pet hair. They feature an effective obstacle avoidance system that does not push light, small objects like socks or toys across the floor. It's among the best self emptying robot vacuum for pet hair mopping robots that we've ever tested. It has a magnet strip that can be used to block off areas that the robot isn't able to reach, for example rooms with lots of cables.

The robot is lacking in other features that are expected of an item of this kind. While the mops do a fantastic job, their maximum running time is 60 minutes and is lower than what we'd expect to see on an expensive product. Also, it doesn't automatically empty itself into the charging station or finish a mopping session with the quick vacuum.

It's still an excellent choice for those who have large homes, since the cleaning and mapping process are quick and efficient. The app is easy to navigate, and you can set up dates for when it's going to operate. You can still use the remote to control it if you don't want to use a strong WiFi connection.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision may be expensive, but its many smart features make up for it. Its live home monitoring feature is fantastic and also looks amazing. It's a nice option for families with children or pets, or anyone who needs to keep an eye on their home while away. The majority of people who own a robot mop and vacuum are amazed by the difference their floors make after using them often.

Roborock S7 Max Ultra

The S7 Max Ultra, Roborock's new robot vacuum and mop self-empty ($1299 on Amazon) is an excellent upgrade to the S6 and S7 models. It adds a host of beneficial features, including more aggressive mopping and higher-powered suction (up up to 5,100Pa as opposed to earlier models' 2,400Pa). It also features precise lidar navigation, which functions as radar in 3D which means it can see things such as baseboards, chair legs and furniture legs to effortlessly maneuver around them. It can also create customized cleaning routines that you launch by tapping, such as an "After Meals mode" which systematically vacuums and scrubs the kitchen floors.

This two-in-one also has a special feature not found on most other robots: VibraRise, which raises the mopping plate when it detects carpeting so it doesn't let area rugs get wet, making mopping more efficient. It also comes with an advanced cleaning feature that vacuums and mops carpets with one move, taking out dust and dirt more efficiently than spinning mops. The app can be used to schedule weekly cleanings or to clean on demand.

While the S7 Max Ultra does a great job at its intended tasks but it's not without a few drawbacks. The most significant is the high cost. It's the most expensive best robot vacuum with self empty vacuum and mop set-up I've seen. Other issues aren't specific to this particular model, but more typical of robotic vacuums as a whole: it does not handle large spills and sticky messes well.

The S7 Max Ultra can be quickly set up: just connect it to the internet, then connect it to your phone via Wi Fi and then begin cleaning. After this, you can modify the settings within the app, including setting no-go zones and scheduling cleanings.

Its impressive obstacle avoidance is another major benefit. In the course of testing, it only slid into tight spaces twice, which is better than the S6 MaxV’s three tries, or the X1 Omni's four attempts. The app lets you mark an object as a temporary obstruction, and the S7 Max Ultra ignores it during subsequent cleaning.

Narwal Freo

The Narwal Freo is one of the few robots that incorporate vacuuming and best robot vacuum and mop Combo Self empty mops in its design. It's among the most affordable robots we've reviewed. The Freo's impressive cleaning efficiency and numerous options for customization makes it an excellent option for any home that needs a combination cleaner. The lack of advanced obstacle-avoidance technology, as well as a sleek mobile application has dampened our enthusiasm for this model.

The app comes with a range of options to alter the Freo's behavior, including schedules for busy rooms and spot cleanings, as well as the option to turn on a parental lock.
