World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also boost extra bonuses like PvE damage and crit chance.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is in %, the weapon will be able to gain an additional 3% of the previous attack damage every time it's upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons and trinkets to give an additional stat boost or effect when they're used. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment with a slot for them. The item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging ascended gear or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is used on (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with less upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level using standard methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defense attributes of the weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

The player can get the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will appear during the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear, even if they are unsure what can be improved upon the reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be costly, and it is possible that the item will eventually become obsolete or even break when the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the possibility of failure. Certain upgrades also provide a bonus if reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the effectiveness of all nodes in a radius around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 whenever you can.

You'll often see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is a great method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced again are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values that it can improve a statistic by, and the value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a Glyph of the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the many Glyphs as well as also a few rare glyphs to be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs, you will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Glyphs will boost all nodes that are connected to them, which is why it is best to place Glyphs in strategic locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the power of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level requires a different number of components and the costs for upgrading increase as the item gets upgraded.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or obtained from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned you will be able to claim your upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When an individual player upgrades a piece of equipment the original item level upgrade will be replaced with an item that is new. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own set of bonuses. This can be a disadvantage, as it can cause the item upgrader to become more expensive if you don't need it.

The upgrades to items can be rerolled, provided that the player has enough tokens to be able to do so. This will cause the item to be traded for a new one, which will come with a level 1 base and a totally different set of bonus bonuses. This can be useful however it should not be repeated often since it can waste resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled many times, increasing their value and allowing the player to customize their gear. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or swims like a dolphin). The item can be upgraded many times, increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is very valuable in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of its non-upgraded counterpart.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to upgrade the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the defense base of that piece, while upgrading weapon equipment will increase the base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

Each item level upgrade can be upgraded up to five times except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object it has a chance of failing. The probability of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to revert to its original state, requiring the player to spend more materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item does not upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it earned like chances to be crit damage to attack, other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or the speed of reloading). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

If an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon increases its crit chance, the increase will be applied before any attack damage increases. Slots is a brand new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is recalculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to the value of the base item. For example an item upgrader of common use could have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will have a much lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. However, players will need to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade items. Each upgrade to equipment requires different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the costs mentioned above.
