After a series of social media posts hints at it, Italian supercar maker Lamborghini finally revealed its NFT (non fungible token) Project. It's called Space Key and developed in collaboration with an undisclosed artist and inspired by a piece advanced carbon fiber composite material that was delivered to the International Space Station for research purposes.

The project is a limited edition and will be auctioned off over the coming weeks.

The Space Key is made of carbon composite material which Lamborghini, as part of a research project in 2019 was sent to the International Space Station. The carbon fiber was then created into a distinctive artwork when it returned to Earth. The physical object is equipped with an NFT serial code that connects to the digital artwork through a QR code on the rear.

The digital artwork

The Space Keys will be auctioned off in the near future, but the exact date and time of the event hasn't been confirmed yet.

The auction
