BMW Ghost Immobiliser

The ghost immobiliser fitter utilizes the data bus CAN to communicate with your vehicle. This prevents thieves from putting in keys or replacing the ECU to get around your security system because it requires a valid PIN code to start the engine.

Our BMW ghost immobiliser is a revolutionary next-generation device that does not require cutting OEM wires or adding aftermarket alarms and key fobs. It is hooked up to the BMW's CAN data network and programmed with a secure, unique PIN code that can be accessible via buttons that are installed in your car. This allows you to enter a specific key push sequence that isn't available in the usual menus for media, like volume up/down, source, cruise control or aircon on, which prevents your car from starting until the sequence is entered. The PIN can be between 4 and 20 characters, making it difficult for thieves to guess.

We can also add to the system the service/valet mode. This mode is activated when your car is being serviced so that the Ghost is kept from view by the garage. This can be done by pressing the service button on your infotainment device 5 times (the system will flash to confirm this) and then when you return the Ghost Immobiliser Car will automatically arm again.

Service / Valet Mode

Anti-Hijack

Ghost developed this discreet device that is unobtrusive and helps in battling the ever-increasing sophistication of high-tech thieves. It is designed to prevent thieves from using a brand new key or replacing the ECU to start your vehicle and drive it away. Ghost links up to your CAN data network and utilizes the buttons within your vehicle (steering wheel and centre console, as well as door panels) to create a unique push sequence which must be completed before the engine can be started.

If the anti-hijacking mode has been activated the attempt to restart the engine will be thwarted. The system will sharpen the horn, flash the indicators and stop the vehicle if the code is not found. By entering your push sequence or entering service mode, you can cancel the Anti-Hijack feature. This allows your vehicle to start temporarily without the need to enter the PIN.

You can also see your vehicle in real time on a map on your smartphone, ideal to track your car while on the move.

The Ghost can be positioned in the dashboard area, or within the centre console. It is completely concealed and tamper-proof. It does not need any additional wiring. The device is connected to the vehicles CAN Data Network (similar to an Ethernet cable) and a personal PIN code is programmed into it. The pin code has to be chosen prior to the vehicle's start. This stops thieves from using a copied key or replacing the ECU in order to get around this system.

If the vehicle is stolen and the Ghost will enter a service mode and shut down all functions until the PIN code is entered, or you utilize the mobile app to disarm it. This feature was developed to protect you vehicle from thieves using high-tech devices who utilize relay boxes to steal it. It also prevents thieves from being able to use their mobile phone to activate your sat nav or mp3 player to locate your car!

Ghost allows you to prevent this kind of theft by installing a device called Secure-A Key inside your vehicle.
