Active Noise Cancellation

The Bose QuietComfort line is known for its excellent noise cancellation but the company also produces a variety of premium headphones and earbuds that don't require or provide it. The products typically come at an expensive price and are made of premium materials however, they're also light and sweat-proof, making them comfortable for long listening sessions.

The flagship 700s is a great example. They come with an upgraded eight-microphone system (six to cancel the sound, buy online headphones and two to pick up voices) and 11 custom ANC modes that let you hear the world around you or block it completely. They also come with a "Conversation Mode", which allows you to temporarily stop the music in order to announce an event or place a phone call.

Bose TruSleeve is another excellent feature. It's a removable cover that wraps around your neck and rests on top of your ear to reduce noise while you are out and about. It is available for all QuietComfort products and can be customized with the app to fit your ears and lifestyle.

In comparison to our top choice the Sony WH-1000XM5, the 700s have a superior quality microphones for phone calls. This makes them a great option for those who frequently take calls and want to be heard clearly while on the go.

Controls

The 700s don't have physical controls for the ear cups, unlike the majority of Bose's headphones. Instead there's an electronic touch panel on the front of the right earcup that can register swipes and taps. Tap twice to play/pause, swipe up and down to alter the volume and move forward to skip tracks. A single tap answers calls, and a double tap rejects an any call that comes in.

The headset also allows users to switch on the mode of "aware," which enables some sort of a view of your surroundings. It's a handy feature for anyone who wants to be aware of their surroundings while listening to music or making phone calls.

A motion detector shuts off your headphones after inactivity. This is a great feature for those who get easily distracted or forget to turn off their headphones. The Bose Connect App allows you to change the Auto-Off setting of your Bose headphones.

The app is used to alter the features of the headphones like the settings for audio, noise cancelling levels and voice prompt languages. This is also where you can get updates for your Bose headphones. You might be asked to divulge some personal information in order to use this feature, but that's expected for this type of app. You can also change your Bluetooth preferences and use the battery reading feature to determine how much power is left in your headphones. Design

Bose is known for its comfortable headphones. The majority of their models do an excellent job at keeping the listener's ears safe from ambient noise.
