Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The process of upgrading an item, often referred to as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment boosts a stat linearly.

Players can recycle six items at one time to get a gauge of each item's upgraded component. The cost of recycling a piece of equipment increases depending on their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade to an item is a method to increase the stats of your weapon and armor. This can be accomplished by a variety of methods, including by using upgrade components or by increasing the rarity or mark level. A lot of items can be reforged to boost their value.

Most upgrade components slotted into items cannot be replaced or salvaged without dismantling the gear in question, unless it is legendary equipment and upgrades. However, if you have an unusable rune or glyph that hasn't yet been applied to your equipment, you can transfer it to a different piece equipment by utilizing the Upgrade Glyphs context menu on the Glyphs panel. This will create the new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

You can take out the glyph using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item on which the glyph is installed will be destroyed, but the upgraded item upgrader mod can be salvaged with the glyph shards.

When you take away an item after putting a glyph on it, the shards from the glyph will vanish. You can also apply the glyph on your equipment to provide an extra benefit. Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are also a great option to reroll stats on weapons, which can be upgraded to provide better damage or perks.
