The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is mid-range. It's a great mopping performance but lacks some of the features found in its more expensive sibling.

During tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. It doesn't employ LIDAR however, as cheaper models do, to identify your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, such as a dirt compartment that is built into the base of charging. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is set up it can begin cleaning automatically with just one button press. You can choose an overall clean that emphasizes the removal of large debris such as rice and cereal or two thorough mappings of your home to ensure your entire home gets a proper look.

This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It can pick up pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot says that future models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price tag.

Its smart navigation system uses a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundaries so that the robot vacuum cleaner for carpet can determine what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those of more expensive models, and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only drawback is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to allow to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots available. The dust tank on the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three cycles, even when you've got a lot of dirt.

In terms of the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to scrub the tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, produce very little noise, which allows you to work or watch TV without distraction. It will gently hit a wall or furniture and then move on if it comes across one.

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash to the bin hidden in the background and also cleans and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is not right like the water tank being empty or a canceled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.

You can also create and combine rooms to modify the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is useful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home or in the event that you have to regularly clear out clutter such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my test cleaning up debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first pass. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, plus the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also comes with self-cleaning bases that automatically empties and washes mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also comes with a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately and prevents it from falling on furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement to the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, more modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still big. It measures over two feet in both height and depth, and weighs nearly four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it charges faster and can handle a complete cleaning of about 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also has a larger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that works even when you're not at home. It also has more mopping options and a smart routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of just following a set path.

The Omni Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its mop pads that rotate to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding too and it increases suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does an excellent job. It has a large, automatic rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum and mop that comes with a variety of features that you do not often find on robots of this price range. It can create detailed floor maps and detect different types of flooring. It's also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are nice but they also place the L10s in the class of luxury. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is slim and tall with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which protects furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving through the house. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that acts as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, automatic and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The central control panel includes a circular menu that lets you select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons open the settings of the app which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to map out your home. This allows the robot to clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors and removing all but stubborn juice stains. The mops also work well and remove 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
