BMW Ghost Immobiliser

The Ghost utilizes the data bus CAN to communicate with your vehicle. This prevents thieves from replacing the ECU or putting in an additional lock to circumvent the security system.

Service Mode / Valet Mode

The Ghost can be installed on any BMW. All you need is the correct keys, since the device doesn't use the original remotes, but can be used with them. Anti-Hijack

Ghost created this discrete, unobtrusive device to combat the growing sophistication of hi-tech thieves. It is designed to prevent thieves from adding keys or replacing the ECU to start your car and drive it off. Ghost is connected to your CAN network, and uses buttons on your vehicle to generate a unique push-sequence that must be entered before the engine can start.

This will activate the anti-hijack mode and, once it is activated, any attempt to start the engine will be immediately blocked. If the system detects that the vehicle is no longer moving, it will honk the horn and flash the indicators. If it fails to locate the correct code, it will also stop the engine (where possible). The Anti-Hijack feature is cancelled by entering your push sequence or by enabling service mode, which allows your car to temporarily start and drive without having to enter your PIN.

If you have an GPS device connected to your BMW it can be used to cancel the Anti-Hijack feature, allowing you to still use the navigation system inside your car even when the vehicle is parked not being watched. We can connect the Ghost device to your mobile app to enable remote control of keyless start and go functionality. The Ghost can be positioned under the dashboard, or within the centre console. It is completely hidden, tamperproof, and doesn't require any additional wiring. The device is connected to the CAN Data Network of the vehicle (similar to an Ethernet cable) and a unique pin code is programmed into it.
