Key fobs can help start the engine of your car. Remote Start

You can start your car and not need to have your keys on you. This is especially useful when it's hot outside and you're trying to cool down your car while running errands. There are a few points you need to know before you use this feature.

Some key fobs have an exclusive remote engine start button (for example Ford's keyfob has a circular arrow going clockwise) that you need to press in order to remotely start your car. Mazdas, for example require you to lock the key first and then press the Start button.

If you're unable to start your car, you might have a weak or dead battery in the key fob. The battery inside the key fob isn't as strong to send a signal back to the car's system.

If this is the case, then you'll need replace the batteries on the key fob or attempt changing the program.
