BMW Ghost Immobiliser

The Ghost utilizes the CAN data bus to communicate with your vehicle. This stops thieves from replacing the ECU or installing an additional lock to circumvent the security system.

The Ghost is unique to other immobilisers as it does not use key fobs or LED indicators. It makes use of the buttons on your vehicle to let you to enter a unique sequence of disarming that you only know.

Stop & Start

If you've ever driven a new BMW or utilized the stop start feature then you may have noticed that once stopped the engine will continue to continue to run for around 30 seconds after releasing the brake pedal. The BMW engine management system continues to check the vehicle for a signal that comes from the ignition key. If it detects this, the vehicle will continue to operate. The Autowatch 2 Ghost immobiliser prevents this from happening by stopping the car every time you push a button sequence.

Our BMW ghost immobiliser, a next-generation device, doesn't require cutting OEM wires or install key fobs or alarms from the aftermarket. It is hooked up to your BMW's CAN data network and programmed with an encrypted, secure PIN code that is accessible through buttons in your car. This lets you enter the key push sequence that isn't available in the usual media menus, such as volume up/down or cruise control, source or turning on air conditioning, which prevents your car from starting until it is entered. The PIN can range between 4 and 20 digits and is therefore difficult for thieves to guess or break.

We can also add a service/valet mode. This is activated while your car is being serviced so that the Ghost is kept from view by the garage. This can be achieved by pressing the service button on your infotainment system five times (the system will flash to confirm this) and when you return, the Ghost will re-arm automatically.

Ghost immobilisers are highly recommended for top-of-the-line vehicles. It's completely undetectable and does not require cutting any wiring from the factory and will disable your car's engine if the wrong pin code is entered. Service Mode / Valet Mode

The Ghost is a market leading immobiliser that is designed to protect your vehicle from being stolen by key cloning and hacking. It works by using the vehicles factory buttons to create an individual sequence of pushes that only you can recognize, similar to like the pin code security on your mobile phone. It's subtle and extremely effective in deterring even the most determined thieves from ever trying!

If you are parked at home or in a meeting and greet, the Ghost can be set to service mode. This lets you start the vehicle with your keys, but stops the engine from restarting until the correct code is entered. This is ideal for customers who have to hand their vehicles over to valet businesses or other trusted friends & family members. This allows you to take your car to the garage for maintenance and maintenance, etc. without having to worry that it will be modified by a mechanic while you are waiting.

When the service/valet mode is activated, your BMW will not be able to drive once it is started. This prevents anyone else from testing driving it while you're away. When you return, the vehicle will return to normal operation and will not be damaged or stolen.

The Ghost can be fitted to any BMW. All you require are the correct keys, because the device does not utilize the original remotes, but can be used with them. We can also provide an optional Bluetooth tag which can be used to disable the Ghost by using an app on your phone (IOS & Android) or in case you don't have a phone or aren't comfortable using it, simply press the emergency card once. Anti-Hijack

Ghost created this subtle device that is obtrusive, and unobtrusive to fight the growing sophistication of hi-tech thieves. It's designed to stop thieves from using a brand new key or replacing the ECU to start your car and drive away. Ghost links up to your CAN data network and uses the buttons in your vehicle (steering wheel, centre console and door panels) to create a unique push sequence which needs to be entered before the engine can start.

Once the anti-hijacking mode is activated the attempt to restart the engine will be blocked. When the system determines that the vehicle has stopped moving it will honk the horn and flash the indicators, in case it fails to find the correct code it will also stop the engine (where it is). By entering your push sequence, or entering service mode, you can deactivate the Anti-Hijack feature. This allows your vehicle to be temporarily started without entering the PIN.

If you have an GPS device that is connected to your BMW, you can use it to disable the Anti-Hijack function to allow you to use your navigation system while the vehicle is parked. You can also use your smartphone to control the anti-theft feature as well as other functions.

Remote Control

We can connect the Ghost device to your mobile application to allow remote control of keyless start and go capabilities. This is useful when a valet or mechanic has to start your car but you are else. The system allows you to start your car by selecting drive, then quit the service mode without the need to use your key fobs. You can also track your vehicle on a map in real-time on your smartphone.

The Ghost can be positioned under the dashboard or inside the center console. It is completely concealed and tamperproof and does not require extra wiring. The device is connected to CAN Data Network of the vehicle (similar to Ethernet cable) and a personal pin code is programmed into it. The pin code has to be entered prior to the vehicle's start. This prevents thieves from using a copied key or replacing the ECU in order to get around this system.

If the vehicle is being taken away, the Ghost will enter service mode and shut down all functions until you have the PIN code or the mobile application to disarm it. This is a feature that was created to safeguard your vehicle from high-tech thieves who are using relay boxes to steal your car. It also stops thieves from being able to use their mobile phone to activate your sat-nav or mp3 player to locate your car!

Ghost also can stop "Relay Style Frequency Amplification". This is the most frequent method of stealing a vehicle with a keyfob which has been cloned, or stolen through hacking. Ghost can help you avoid this by installing an anti-theft device within your vehicle, called Secure-A-Key. The device is installed in the key fob of your vehicle and then disconnects the battery after a couple of inactive minutes. This is possible using the most modern PKE keys.
