The Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 is a Supercapacitor Hybrid

The Sian FKP 37, by Lamborghini's standards it's a wild car. It's also among the first production hybrids that utilizes supercapacitors.

Lamborghini claims that its manufacturing-friendly material could result in cheaper products in the future. It's certainly costly enough now but if the manufacturing process can be accelerated, it could reduce costs on both materials and labor. Forged composite is also more flexible than woven carbon fiber and engineers can make intricate shapes without adding huge costs or weight.

The name Sian is the Bolognese word for lightning, and it's an ode to the brand's history and future. The alphanumeric suffix of FKP37 honors Ferdinand Karl Piech.
