Service Mode / Valet Mode

This will activate the anti-hijack function and, once it is activated, any attempt to start the engine will be stopped. The system will hone the horn and flash the indicators. It will also stall the vehicle when the code isn't found. By entering your push sequence, or entering service mode, you can cancel the Anti-Hijack function. This allows your vehicle to start temporarily without having to enter a PIN.

If you have an GPS device that is connected to your BMW, you can utilize it to disable the Anti-Hijack function so that you can continue to navigate using your navigation system even when the vehicle is stationary.
