This model has seriously strong suction as well as a HEPA filter that can assist anyone suffering from allergies. In addition, it also comes with a powerful battery which can clean for up to two hours and it will return to its dock when it is full.

It also has the feature of smart mapping that uses multiple sensors to identify the areas of your home that require attention and then create a clean route around them. This technology is very efficient at navigating around toys left on the floor or furniture legs that are sticking out from underneath objects. It also has a camera sensor that can snap the Roomba back to the real world when it starts to drift from its actual location.

iRobot has also introduced a new set of rollers underneath the Roomba's bottom that don't have bristles and therefore tend to be more resistant to tangles than the previous models. In our tests of its performance in our tests of its performance, the Roomba 980 did well on both hard flooring and carpets. It scored highly on low-pile carpet and also on mid-pile. It did a fair job of picking up pet hair, but it had a difficult time with very thick and long pet fur that was clumped together.

Despite these small shortcomings, the Roomba 980 remains one of our most efficient robots, and it's not even close to being as expensive as the other top-of-the-line models in this list. It's still packed with a variety of features that we'd expect to see in a flagship model however, it doesn't come with all the fancy apps or smart home integration that are found in other top models.

The iRobot Roomba is simple to set up and start running right away. After removing the pull tab for the battery and the yellow bin insert from undercarriage, all you need to connect it to its Home Base docking station or a wall socket, hit its large "Clean" button and vacuum Robot let it go to work. It will return to its dock when the battery runs out or it's stuffed with debris, and it also has indicators on the top of the device to indicate that its bin is full or it needs to be recharged or if its Wi-Fi signal has gone out.
