1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The i3+ EVO is similar to its sibling the i3 EVO. They differ only in the fact that the i3+ has self-emptying capabilities. The i3+ is a great option for those who want a fully automated, hands-off cleaning experience, but want to manually empty the dustbin of the robot after it has filled up.

Both robots excel at picking up surface debris off carpets and hard floors, and they're very adept at getting around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software makes a smart maps of your home to assist the i3+ to navigate and clean efficiently. However, unlike the i7+ or other top rated robots we evaluated the i3+ doesn't have obstacle-avoidance capabilities which means it can get stuck on things like power cords or socks, and it can have difficulty traversing transitions across surfaces like hardwood to carpet.

iRobot recommends you clear out areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, including clearing out any clutter or toys it may come across. You should also keep the dustbin and filter clean to prevent them from becoming clogged. If the i3+'s internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station and takes the dirt out of the docking station’s external dustbin. It then continues cleaning from where it started. The battery's life span is approximately an hour-and-a-half of continuous use. It takes about three hours to fully charge.

2. IRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot i7+ is a top model from iRobot’s flagship line, and it comes with the latest technology. It's self-charging and self-navigating. the most crucial feature of all -- it has self-emptying bins that eliminate one of the main sources of maintenance for any best robot vacuum under 200 vacuum.

The i7+ is quicker and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, though it self cleaning vacuum cleaner-empties its dust bin which eliminates a major source of maintenance and reduces recurring costs.

We were also impressed with the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot to start or stop cleaning sessions and also to move around the room and to vacuum a particular area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and straightforward through the iRobot Home app. When connected, we were able to communicate with the i7+ using voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s preferences and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

In a world filled with cordless vacs that feel like minivans or buses, this small Dyson model is a sports car. It's got the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum in most households, but it also fits perfectly next to the table for a coffee or the bookshelf, that you can spin around like a magic tool.

The V10 is powered with a 7-cell energy-dense Lithium-ion battery that produces power that is not fading for 60 minutes. Its advanced whole-machine filter system removes allergens, and then releases cleaner air back into your home. The specially designed head utilizes stiff nylon bristles that penetrate deep into carpets and collect large crumbs or fine dust. It has three suction modes to match the task that is being completed. It can quickly switch from handheld to floor vacuum, and vice versa.

The 694 is a standard robot vacuum that's a great choice for those who don't have lots of money to spend on an expensive robot. It's capable of sucking up most types of debris and sizes during our tests, and it frequently goes over the same areas many times to get a really thorough clean. Its flat front end helps to get into corners and along the walls' edges which is a nice touch.

Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt to stay clear of obstacles and navigate your best home vacuum cleaner, but it's not equipped with the mapping capabilities of more advanced models like our top choices, the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. It can get stuck on phone cords or low furniture and often runs out of power before returning to its original location.

The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways to the Roomba 694, as it has less parts that require regular cleaning, comes with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtering system, has a lower recurring cost and has more advanced automation capabilities and is better able to move itself. It also has a larger dustbin and can charge faster.

The eufy RoboVac X8 has a superior battery life than the Roomba. It also comes with physical boundaries and can be controlled with the voice assistant on your smartphone. It is also more robust, has a larger motor, and performs better on floors with bare or low-pile.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+
