What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader is an additional widget at the top of both the Angel and Cash Upgrade Windows. The Manager is priced at 33 billion Angel Investors and offers no gaming benefit other than making it easier to find and buy upgrades.

The amount of upgrades you make will determine the amount of extras you receive. Each upgrade will increase the corresponding extras by an increment of 1 up to a maximum of 3. In addition, each upgrade will also boost the main stat by +1.

In addition to the stat increases certain upgrades can also give a random secondary boost. These secondary boosts can be very valuable and should be taken into consideration when deciding which items to upgrade. Some of these boosts are only beneficial in certain builds (such as Whistan's shield for FB sorcs) while others can bring an enormous amount of value to certain collectors.

Some items have a built-in boos that is not effective when upgraded. For example, the Goldwrap has an extra potion slot. They are often upgraded to add more value to a near-perfect or perfect item upgrades.

Costs

Upgrades are accompanied by some associated costs. The first is the cost of performing the upgrade items. It can be costly and depends on the new level of the item as well as the number of perks it gets. Upgrades to higher levels (such as Explorer to Champion or Veteran to Heroic) can be costly.

The other is the cost of the materials needed to upgrade. The items used are typically either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21and over) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable by completing certain Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). These materials can be found in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.

Upgrading an item is complicated and requires time. Depending on the size of the upgrade, it can take anywhere from 8 to 12 hours. The stats that are the base of the upgraded item are calculated based on the new ilvl and other properties. This calculation determines the updated Armor Class bonus, damage dice, and other crucial stats. In some cases, an upgrade can grant additional perks. These perks are offered on a list.

Rarely, the new advantages acquired will cost more than one perk slot to acquire In these cases, the upgrade will only replace the perks with the highest cost. Occasionally, the upgrader will make other changes to an item, like changing its weapon damage type or removing or adding an operative or unwieldy property. The cost for these changes is based on the new ilvl of the item, and it may require a special material like an adamantine alloy.

Success Rate

The upgrading of an item is dependent on the chance. Like any random system there is a chance that it will not succeed. However, there are some things that can increase the chance of success. This includes the use of an Upgrade Pity or adding extra materials to your upgrade.

An Upgrade Pity is a product you can buy from the smithing NPC in Lost Ark. It increases the chance of an upgrade being successful by some percentage. It is similar to the luck bonus certain items offer but is more reliable. This can be added to any weapons or armor and is used three times.

It is also possible to add a range of additional items to the upgrade, thereby increasing the chance of success. These are displayed in a window above the + button. There are some limitations. The maximum amount of material you can add is displayed directly above the + button.

Another way to increase the chances of an upgrade achieving success is to use an item called a Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item is beneficial in the event that you have an item or weapon gear that has reached the maximum level for its tier, or is close to it. This item allows you to upgrade the equipment to the next tier without the risk of breaking.

If an upgrade fails, it will be reverted to its original state. This is usually a downgrade, but can also be an upgrade. It is recommended to save upgrades for when you're close to the highest level of an item, and use it as an emergency.

Kafra offers a variety of items that can be used in order to increase the chances of an upgrade succeeding. For instance upgrading an equipment with HD Oridecon or HD Elunium repeatedly will give you an increased chance of success. In the same way, increasing the likelihood to receive a Double Mint from Shoe-Minting a maximum of five times will also increase the success rate.

Failure Rate

The upgrader for an item allows players to add a second slot in their equipment. The slots can be used to upgrade an item or apply an enhancement. It is important to remember that not all items can be upgraded. The enchantment and upgrade rate is based on the item's rank. The higher the rank, the more zen and the items you'll need to upgrade it.

This system is expensive particularly if you are seeking top-of-the-line equipment. It could cost as high as 100,000 z and 100 Carnium to upgrade a weapon or armor. The rate of success decreases as you go up in rank. You can increase the chance of upgrading an item using cash shop items.

Normal Upgrade is the most basic upgrade that can be performed on weapons, armor pieces and bicycles. It utilizes different grades of cores based on the type of item. In general, items with lower grades will require lower grade cores, while higher grade items will require more expensive ones.

You must have the proper number of cores in order to perform a normal upgrade. Click the button next to the item you'd like to upgrade once you have the cores. You can also choose the option of a security feature for your item that will safeguard the item in case of failure. The safeguard is not free however, it will cost less than a new item. The protection is only available once per upgrade, and it will not expire until it is used again.

The interface for the item upgrader is a bit difficult, but not difficult to navigate. The main menu is located on the left and the upgrade window is on the right.
