The main selling point of Eufy's this machine is its laser navigation. Previous Eufy devices have constructed a rough map of your home using infrared sensors and bumping into objects, but the X8's laser mapping system is far more precise. It also takes a lot less time to construct an accurate map of your home and can store multiple maps, which is ideal for multi-floor homes.

The X8 is a great vacuum cleaner for floors that are clean. It is able to easily throw debris under the side brushes and into its 400ml dust bin. The Tyres of the X8, despite their circular shape, are very good in grabbing corners and edges. It's not the best cat litter picker, though our tests have shown it is able to remove around 90 percent of the fur off hard floors.

The basic mopping mode uses the same reservoir of water as the vacuuming mode. This is ideal for spills that are not serious, but you can't control the amount of water that it uses. It's effective in removing hair from pets. It has a higher percentage of hair removal than the Roborock S7.

3. Miele RX2

The company is known for its quiet home appliances Miele's RX2 robot vacuum comes with outstanding cleaning power, beautiful design, and a great navigation. However, it has a few operational oddities which prevent it from being considered as the top overall smart robot vacuum.

Like the latest models from iRobot like the RX2 comes with dual-sensor mapping technology that uses a LIDAR sensor to map the space and two 3D scanning cameras to identify and avoid obstacles (like furniture legs or pet waste) in real time. You can also schedule weekly or daily cleanings, set up no-go zones and check its cleaning history. Ion is clad in a sophisticated dark gray plastic that looks and feels appealing in your home.
