Replace Nissan Key Fob Batteries

If your Nissan keyfob isn't responding to your commands, its battery could be dead. Fortunately, this is an easy fix that most people are able to do themselves.

You can find a replacement from a hardware store or the owner's manual that is specific to the model you have and then follow these steps to change the battery.

Changing the Battery

The key fob in your Nissan model has a built-in lithium battery that will eventually lose its charge. Luckily, changing the battery on the key fob is a simple process that only takes some minutes to complete. First, you'll need to purchase an CR2032 battery. This is a small coin cell battery that's commonly used in key fobs, and can be found at all convenience stores.
