The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you are looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that's mid-range. It has a great mopping performance but lacks certain of the more advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In the course of testing, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as other models do, to map your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, such as the dirt compartment integrated into the charging base. This robot can recognize your cleaning habits, and recommend automatic schedules that will give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the push of a button. You can select an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal or go for two thorough mappings of your area to ensure your entire home gets a proper look.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can take in large objects and does not lose suction as fast as other models do and can remove pet hair without difficulty. It's a challenge with carpets that are high-pile or plush however, iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the hockey puck-like design of robovacs, but we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ has an advanced filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. We think this is a nice claim but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the structure of your home, and vSLAM for mapping the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and to clean up your entire house in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the makita robot vacuum cleaner and set cleaning times, and set up virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as effective as those on more expensive models and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

It's only downside is the lack of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. However, that's not a major issue when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also larger than many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.

For the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt from my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less abrasive than the high-powered ones, produce minimal noise, allowing you to work or watch television without interruption. If it comes into contact with the wall or a piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and moves along.

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash to the bin hidden in the background and cleans and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only inform you if something is wrong for example, a low clean water tank or a cancelled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. That's a handy feature to have if you have several areas of your home with different flooring materials or if there's a lot of clutter that must be cleared out frequently, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, removing debris from both carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that comes with all the features you could wish for. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum with powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, and an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties the mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet high and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has faster battery charging and can handle a complete cleaning of about 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even when you're not at home. It also comes with more mopping modes and a smart routing feature that allows you to clean certain rooms or areas of your house instead of just following a specific path.

The X2 Omni is the top robot at mopping. Its mop pads that rotate scrub away tough stains, and its motor produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well and it enhances suction when it detects carpet to ensure it does a thorough job. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as any we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium robot vacuum and mop that comes with a variety of features that you aren't likely to find on robots of this price range. It is able to build precise floor maps, recognize different types of flooring, and it's one of the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. While these features are nice to have, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the luxury category and could mean it's slightly more expensive than what some homeowners need.

Designed to look like a modern floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish that's highlighted by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which protects furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving through the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, Robot Vacuum and mop which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that serves as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and pressing it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The control panel includes the circular menu which allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will open the app's settings menu where you can alter the way that the L10s Ultra works with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or roborock s7 robot vacuum Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map out your home. This helps the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability that clears 98.4% of debris from our hardwood floor test and taking out all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops also perform well and remove 98.4% debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as efficient in dealing with sand on the floor, or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
