This feature is better than most robot vacuums' cameras, as they can get stuck on things like rug tassels. It's worth noting, however, that the iRobot Combo ju7+'s front camera is prone to blind spots, and can miss certain items.

The iRobot Combo ju7+ is expensive, however it performs adequately enough to justify the cost. It has a high satisfaction rating and customers like its smart features. Many people who own a robotic mop and vacuum combo are amazed by the difference their floors make after using them often.

It also has precise lidar navigation that works as radar in 3D, meaning it can detect things like chair legs, baseboards and furniture legs to efficiently move around them. It can even create tailored cleaning routines that you can launch at a single tap, such as a "After meal" mode that intensely vacuums and scrubs kitchen floors.

This two-in-one has a special feature not found on other robots: VibraRise, which raises the mopping plate once it detects carpeting so it doesn't let area rugs get wet, making mopping more efficient. It also features a deep-cleaning mode that vacuums and mops carpets in a single pass, removing more dust and dirt than spinning mops can. The app can be used to schedule weekly cleanings or clean on demand.

While the S7 Max Ultra does a excellent job in its tasks but it's not without a few drawbacks. The most significant is the high price tag. It's the highest-priced robot vacuum and mop set-up I've seen. The other issues aren't specific to this particular model, but more indicative of robotic vacuums as a category: it does not deal with large spills or sticky messes well.

The S7 Max Ultra is easy to setup: just plug it in, sync it with your phone via Wi-Fi, and begin a cleaning session. Once you've done that, you can customize the settings of the app. For example, you can set up no-go zones and schedule cleanings.

Another big bonus is its impressive obstacle avoidance system. During testing it did not get stuck in tight spaces twice, which is better than the S6 MaxV’s three attempts or the X1 Omni’s four tries. The app allows you to mark an object as temporary obstruction, and the S7 Max Ultra ignores it in future cleanings.

Narwal Freo

The Narwal Freo is a unique robot that combines mops with vacuums. It's also one of the most affordable robots that we've reviewed. The Freo is a fantastic option for anyone in need of a combination cleaner. Its outstanding cleaning performance, as well as its many options for customization makes it a fantastic option. However, its lack of advanced obstacle avoidance features and an elegant app dampened our enthusiasm for this model.
