Lamborghini Enters the Non-Fungible Token (NFT) Craze

Lamborghini is stepping into the world of non-fungible tokens through a project so out of the realm of possibility that it's hard to believe. They have teamed up with an unknown artist to create a physical object - called the Space Key - that is connected to digital artwork through an QR code.

It's not a fungible token

The non-fungible token (NFT) craze is sweeping the gaming industry but even premium car makers are joining in the action. The luxury car key lamborghini maker Lamborghini has announced its first NFT project - a collection of five space-themed digital artworks that are connected to a physical object dubbed the Space Key. The tokens were constructed from a piece advanced carbon fiber composite which was delivered to International Space Station for a joint project in 2019.

The Space Time Memory NFTs are being sold through an online auction and the price of each is a bit of mystery at present. The brand has promised to share more information in the coming weeks and days including the name of the artist who created the Space Key and digital artwork as well as the auction house and the date and time of the auction.

It's an art piece

It's 3D-printed carbon fibre
